We were there with my husband and after hiking all we want to do was going back to the motel and spend time relaxing in our room with a breathtaking view. I highly recommend this place if you don’t like hotel chains or big places. We’ll definitely go back.

“I was really pleasantly surprised! This was my first time staying in a shared hotel, and it was very convenient. My English and Korean are not very good, but communication was smooth. The first floor is a tea room, and everyone there was incredibly nice and friendly. On the first day, a lady gave me a piece of candy, which really touched me. Even though we were strangers, it felt so warm and friendly. A staff member also recommended many delicious restaurants to me. The location is very convenient. I will definitely stay here again next time I come alone! This is a place full of warmth and humanity – my favorite lodging so far!”

I recently stayed at Justbe Temple in Seoul and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I particularly enjoyed the tea time with the tea tenders and fellow guests; it was a lovely opportunity to connect with others. Joining the morning meditation was a highlight of my stay. It provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that truly enhanced my experience. Overall, I highly recommend Justbe Temple for solo travelers looking for a unique and calming getaway in Seoul!

Temple Stay was a brief stop for us, but it was lively with tea energy. We found the rooms to be warm as we are from fairly cold country. They found fans and helped us with being as comfortable as possible. Much appreciated. If our trip was longer we would have joined in all the activities. I appreciated that there were silent time rules and the hallways were quiet which made for a comfortable sleep. A perfect in between for folks that won’t community/interaction, but not nightclub partying. Good hostel vibes.

“Check-in went smoothly, and I appreciate the front desk for helping with my luggage. Everyone was very friendly. The living and washing spaces were clean, and fans were provided, so it wasn’t stuffy when sleeping. Breakfast was good, and I especially liked the potato dish. The fragrance in the air was very pleasant, and the meditation space was comforting. Sunbathing on the terrace in the morning was wonderful. Also, I loved the shampoo here – it was so smooth that I didn’t even need conditioner!”

Six stars. Want to go back already ㅠㅠ I stayed at the end of my trip to South Korea and my body was too tired to explore Seoul more, so I just sat in the tea room most of the day. The plan was to read and write, but everybody there is great, and I accidentally started talking to the people living there. It was really 힐링 and I laughed a lot ☺️ I wish I had been better at Korean, so I would’ve understood more. Also they attract a lot of lovely travellers! When I return, I want to stay here the whole time. Maybe volunteer? If they’d want me heheh. I felt so idle, wanted to do something for them so much

I really enjoyed staying at justbe temple! Everyone was super nice and proactive in offering me some tea, recommendations for the neighborhood or just a nice talk. From the first moment I felt welcome and comfortable. I participated in one yoga class which I really enjoyed. At first I was hesitant to book justbe temple since there was only a bed in a shared room available but I had the feeling everyone was really considerate. Everything was clean. Breakfast was also great, delicious and vegetarian. I absolutely recommend staying at justbe temple and will definitely come again!

I absolutely loved my stay here and wish I would have been able to spend more than just one night. JustBe is a perfect place for travelers who are looking for a quiet place to stay and find some calm during their stay in Seoul – from the inside you would never guess that the temple is in the middle of Hongdae, and I mean that in the best way possible. Apart from the clean and pristinely maintained sleeping and shower amenities, the staff and the program here really make the place so special. I hung out at the all-day tea bar, joined a reflective drawing session in the evening and an early meditation in the morning. The vegan breakfast is delicious too. I will definitely be back on my next stay in Seoul.

Had a wonderful journey with Justbe. The whole environment is clean and pleasant, love to sit at first floor’s lounge and drink a cup of tea. What I like most is that the staff here are so friendly, everyone is so nice and feels like a big family. Also Participating in the program at the fifth floor is really enjoyable. I had several good memories with kind and warm-hearted people who also participated in the weekly programs. Justbe feels like a home to me in Seoul. Definitely going to plan another journey and stay in here again!

Staying here was a gem found! I was absolutely excited to be there and I was greeted with lovely and friendly hosts. The place is brimming with kind community spirit. There are free meditation sessions to participate in the morning and breakfast provided by the staff. The place is very clean too. I was very impressed and humbled by how this place is run. They kindly kept my luggage too as I explored the city. Will be back again (:

Out of 100 points, I'd give at least 99! The location is fantastic—while it might be a little tricky to find the first time, once you get used to it, it's really easy. The breakfast is hands down the best I've ever had at any hostel. Honestly, this is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The staff are all incredibly kind and welcoming, including the monks. Plus, the other guests are very respectful of each other's privacy, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time! 💯💜💙🩵💚💛🧡❤️🩷

I was always fascinated by Buddhist culture and their philosophy and while looking for a place to stay near Hongdae I was fortunate to find this wonderful place! The staff is always welcoming and respectful. The free vegan breakfast is delicious. I usually never book a place with shared bathroom, but I took a chance this time and I am glad I did. Even all the guests are very considerate and kept the place quiet and neat. The morning meditation with 108 now and sitting is a unique experience that I recommend everyone to attend. My legs are still sore from it but you feel so accomplished. Also recommend joining the staff for tea in the main hall when you have a minute and decompress! I wish that I had signed up for some of the programs they offer but I just didn’t have time due to short stay in Seoul this time. I would love to participate next time I am in Korea again. This is an awesome place to get a taste of the Korean Buddhism/Temple stay without the full commitment. Highly recommend
